|Call for Nominations 2018 Election|
Calling for 2018 Election Nominations!
The time has come to call for nominations for the upcoming open positions on SDAPA Board positions. SDAPA is seeking nominations for office and in need of volunteers for a few positions. Serving on the Board is a great opportunity to help make decisions in moving forward as an association and for PAs in South Dakota, especially as new legislative matters are being discussed. Each Elected Board position is a 2-year term that begins July 1st, 2018.
Treasurer: maintains accurate records of the financial status of the organization, works in conjunction with SDAPA executive secretary for distribution of financial reports to the president and board of directors, pays all bills and records all receipts of payments. Candidate must be a Fellow member of SDAPA and a member of AAPA.
Two Directors-at-large: these 2 individuals will join the other 2 directors- at-large. They are the governing body responsible for SDAPA strategic, administrative and financial management. They are responsible for setting the strategic course of the organization aligned with SDAPA’s mission and vision. Their work is supported by committees and work groups. One director at large responsibility is to oversee the SDAPA Awards each year. Candidate must be a Fellow member of SDAPA and a member of AAPA.
I have been on the Board for over 7 years now and it has been a great experience and the Board works together as a team. If you are interested, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are planning on an electronic ballot and electronic voting. You will receive a notice when the ballot has been released. Of course, if there are people who do not use this type of technology, you can request a paper ballot. Being on the Board is a great way to serve your profession.
Results of the voting will take place at the General Business meeting in Rapid City. Please consider giving back to your profession through serving on the Board.
