WE NEED YOU TO BE TO BE INVOLVED

SO BECOME AN SDAPA VOLUNTEER

 

Opportunities include participating in a committee as a member and/or serving as a Co-Chair or Chair or a Committee.  For more information about the committees’ charges please contact the President. president@sdapa.net


MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:

You would work with a committee chair to develop promotional materials that support and enhance membership.


ELECTIONS COMMITTEE:

You would work with committee chair to identify interested candidates, support annual election process, and report to the membership.


LEGISLATIVE POLICY COMMITTEE:

You would work with a committee chair to identify and respond to legislative issues that may impact the PA profession and Patient Care in South Dakota.  Provide recommendations to and respond to the organization’s lobbyist.


PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE:

You would work with the committee chair to promote the SDAPA and it’s causes to physicians, other health care providers, patients and the public in general.


COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE:

You would work with the committee chair to enhance communications to the membership in print, electronically via Facebook and instagram.


CME (CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION) COMMITTEES:

You would work with the committee chairs and staff to organize educational conferences for SDAPA.  There are 2 committees.  One for the fall (September) “East River” conference and one for the winter (March) “West River” conference.


ETHICS & MINORITY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE:

You would work with the committee chair to address issues that fall under this categorization. Insure the integration of ethics throughout SDAPA’s systems and processes promote ethical leadership behavior and the AAPA’s Guidelines for professional conduct for the PA profession.


AWARDS & RECOGNITION SUBCOMMITTEE:

You would work with the Directors-at-large to vet nominees for the SDAPA awards.


AD HOC COMMITTEE(S):

You would work with the President and Board of Directors on special projects of short duration.  Some of these include but are not limited to: Philanthropy, Organization Bylaws & Policy reviews, and Fundraising, to name a few.
